The 2021 Hyundai Kona comes standard with a base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out a solid 147 horsepower. It’s paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.
For those who wish to take their Kona-performance up a notch, an available turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder is on hand. This machine comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and churns out 175 hp. It’s satisfyingly quick off the line, and takes on the highway with admirable verve.
