5 Things Drivers Love About the 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5

Image via Mtn. View Hyundai. With its streamlined, futuristic looks, the 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5 catches many an eye. But this midsize CUV is not just style over substance. Below, we outline some of the things people love about this award-winning car, and when you visit your Hyundai dealer, you'll find plenty more to admire. more 1. Battery Range and Ultra-Fast Charging The Hyundai IONIQ 5 is available in five trims, and even the lowest SE Standard Range trim with RWD has a 220-mile range. While there are rival EVs that compete with this, many don't have the IONIQ 5's ultra-fast charging capabilities. Using 800V battery technology, it can go from 10-80% battery level in just 18 minutes when connected to a DC fast charger. A range of 303 miles is possible from the middle three trims (SE, SEL, and Limited) if you choose RWD, and you'll get 260 miles if you go AWD. The top D100 Platinum Edition trim comes standard with AWD. 2. Fun to Drive Driving enthusiasts love Hyundai IONIQ 5 AWD models, especially with their 320-hp dual-motor powertrains that deliver up to 446 lb-ft of torque. These rocket from 0-60 in under 5 seconds. The top four RWD models have 225-hp powertrains that leverage up to 258 lb-ft of torque, so they're somewhat less fiery but still provide all the acceleration you need as well as a smooth ride. Ditto the SE Standard Range, though it's a bit less zippy off the starting grid. 3. Smart Interior The spacious interior of the IONIQ 5 sports many appealing features as standard, like the 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat with adjustable lumbar support, heated front seats, a 12.3" touchscreen with navigation, a 12.3" digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and dual climate control. 4. Eco-Friendly On top of its obvious zero-emissions benefits, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 uses eco-friendly materials throughout its interior, such as recycled plastics, eco-processed leather, and sustainable fibers. 5. Striking Exterior The IONIQ 5 has a unique, retro-futuristic design that sets it apart from other vehicles. It's sleek, sporty, and aerodynamic: a mixture of clean lines and sculpted surfaces, with a diagonal line at each side and pronounced arches over large wheels. As your local Hyundai dealer, we'll happily let you experience the IONIQ 5's allure. Contact Mtn. View Hyundai in Ringgold, GA to learn more about the groundbreaking Hyundai IONIQ 5.

Signs You Need a New Car Battery From Your Hyundai Dealership

Image via Mtn. View Hyundai. Your car battery will eventually wear out, and you'll usually experience problems like slower starting, dim headlights, and other issues. As your local Hyundai dealership, we'd like you to know a few signs that your battery is failing so you can visit us for a new car battery before the old one dies. more Old Battery The battery is a vital component but has a relatively short lifespan. On average, a new battery lasts three to five years before it needs replacement. This time can also be shortened due to extreme hot or cold temperatures or problems in the electrical system, like a weakening alternator. We can connect your battery to our battery tester, and we advise a battery test when your battery is three years old. The battery tester provides detailed information on your battery's ability to store a charge and recharge. If your battery is healthy, we'll test it again a year. If your battery is failing, we can replace it while you wait. Phantom Drain This spooky name refers to an odd condition where your battery can rapidly drain overnight. When your engine is switched off, the battery supplies power to all your car's systems. Ordinarily, this doesn't require a large amount of power as most systems aren't active. A phantom drain occurs when a system that should be switched off, remains on and continues to draw power. Two of the most likely causes of this problem are the glove box light and trunk light. These lights should switch off automatically when the relevant lid is closed. If either remains on, they can draw a large amount of power. Our technicians will trace the flow of electricity through your Hyundai to identify the cause of the phantom drain, then we'll repair it. Loose Connectors The battery connects to your electrical system via two cables: a red positive and a black negative. These cables fit tightly onto the battery terminal and are secured in place by strong metal clamps. These clamps ensure electricity flows easily into and out of the battery as needed. When you're driving, these cables move slightly. As time passes, the cables can move enough to create a slight gap between the battery and a terminal. Electricity can't pass through a gap, and this will cut your battery off from the electrical system. We can solve this problem by securely tightening the clamps to ensure they fit tightly again. If you suspect a battery problem, contact us right away at Mtn. View Hyundai near Chattanooga, TN.

3 Signs Your Hyundai Needs a Brake Repair

Image via Mtn. View Hyundai. A healthy braking system allows you full control over your Hyundai's speed and enables you to stop where and when you want to. If your brakes aren't working as well as they should be, it's important to visit your Hyundai dealer for a brake repair ASAP. These are a few signs that your brakes could be in trouble. more Brake Warning Light An illuminated dash warning light is always a sign that something is wrong. Your Hyundai has two brake lights, one represents the brakes, and the other represents the ABS. These lights automatically illuminate when your engine starts and should go out within seconds. If either light remains on, something is amiss. An illuminated brake light could mean that your handbrake is still engaged, and releasing the brake will cause the light to go out. If the light remains on, you could have a brake fluid leak. Brake fluid is vital for the braking system as it provides the hydraulic power that allows the system to work. An illuminated ABS light means this system is malfunctioning and needs to be checked. Our experts will identify the cause of the problem and repair it. Rusted Caliper Calipers are positioned above each wheel rotor. When you jam on the brakes, the brake fluid forces the calipers to close on either side of each wheel rotor. The calipers contain brake pads, which generate friction against the wheel rotors, and this action brings your wheels to a stop. The calipers are exposed to water, mud, and snow. Over time, if your brakes aren't serviced, water on the calipers can cause rust. A rusted caliper can jam when you brake, and this prevents it from stopping its rotor from moving. If this happens, you'll notice that your Hyundai will turn to one side when you apply the brakes. We can fix this issue by replacing the affected caliper. Vibrations When You Brake Under normal circumstances, your brakes should bring your Hyundai to a smooth stop exactly as they're designed to. If you feel a vibration when you brake, this usually means that the surface of one or more rotors is no longer completely smooth. Fast and efficient braking requires a smooth rotor surface, as the calipers must be able to easily grip the rotors. The heat generated by braking can cause friction material covering a brake pad to stick to the rotor surface. In time, this material will gradually build up on the rotor and create an uneven surface. If the caliper grabs the uneven surface, you automatically feel a vibration. We can solve this problem by cleaning or resurfacing the rotor. Worn or damaged brakes can cause an accident. A bright red 2024 Hyundai Kona driving on the street

The 2024 Hyundai Kona's Trim Levels Explained

Image via Mtn. View Hyundai. The Kona is a fairly newer model, with its initial debut just six years ago. That's why it's so impressive to Hyundai dealerships like us when the 2024 Hyundai Kona can compete with (and beat) the biggest household names in the extremely large SUV class. more 1. SE The base model SE has a 12.4-gallon fuel tank capacity. The front-wheel drive model gets 29 MPG in the city, 34 on the highway, and 31 combined, while the optional all-wheel-drive gets 27, 29, and 28. The four-cylinder MPI-Atkinson engine has a two-liter displacement, 147 horsepower at 6,200 RPM, and 132 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 RPM. The intelligent variable transmission of the Kona SE includes a SHIFTRONIC® manual shifting mode as a standard feature. The Kona's Drive Mode Select is also standard with the base model. 2. SEL The next model in the lineup has most of the same specs as the base model with a few differences and add-ons. The front-wheel-drive SEL gets 28 MPG in the city and 35 on the highway, but it has the same combined fuel rating of 31. The fuel tank size, engine specs, valvetrain, and drivetrain are the same as the SE aside from the Idle Stop and Go being unavailable for the SEL. 3. N Line The N Line is the third Kona trim in the lineup, and it gets 26 MPG in the city and 32 on the highway for a combined rating of 28 MPG. Its optional all-wheel drive model gets 24, 29, and 26. The fuel tank size increases with this trim from 12.4 gallons to 13.2 gallons. The N Line trades in the Atkinson engine for an even more powerful GDI four-cylinder Turbo engine. This engine has a displacement of 1.6 liters, 190 horsepower at 6,000 RPM, and 195 lb-ft of torque at 1,700 to 4,500 RPM. The N Line also ditches the intelligent variable transmission for an eight-speed automatic transmission. 4. Limited The final trim in the 2024 Kona lineup keeps the upgraded mechanical specs from the N Line trim. The engine's compression ratio lies at 10:1, and the SHIFTRONIC® manual shift mode is traded out in favor of column-mounted shift-by-wire shifting as a standard feature not previously available on the first two trims. The paddle shifters that were available with an add-on package with the SEL are now standard with the N Line and Limited trims. It's no small feat to be able to rank above models that have had decades to perfect their specs, yet the Kona has received much-deserved praise for the splash it has made in the SUV market. If this subcompact SUV's journey of success inspires you, visit us as soon as possible here at Mtn. View Hyundai to check out the 2024 Kona!
